History Of Can-Am®

The legend traces its history to 1942 when J. A. Bombardier created a business that became Bombardier Recreational Products. Their first vehicles were snowmobiles, but eventually, they promoted motocross bikes using the name Can-Am®. By the late 1990s, their focus shifted to ATVs. The Can-Am® engineers focused on innovations, such as putting the TTI rear suspension to the ATV frame. 

 

In 2002, they released the first manufacturer-approved model for two people. In 2010, Can-Am® released their first side-by-side, which ran off of an 85 hp Rotax 1000 V-Twin engine. This unique model was one of the most versatile options on the market, which led to its success. Over the years, Can-Am® sales continued to build as the company continually unveiled high-quality models ready for adventure.
